Most of this event took place at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Downtown Los Angeles, CA.
Esther and Joe, to say the least, put on a wedding and a half jam packed with all kinds of colorful details and emotion. We were shooting almost non-stop from just after 8AM until about 10:30pm or so. My feet are still recovering, but it was worth it.
Did I mention that I almost got speared by a dancing Chinese dragon? :)

Just a quick note to announce that as of today my 2010 calendar for California weddings is now almost completely filled. In an effort to limit the number of weekends I need to leave my family for travel, I’m holding only one more spot open for a California wedding, so if you’ve been talking to me about your wedding or have been considering contacting me, please do so soon before that spot gets filled.
Talk to you soon. :)
On Thursday my friend Brandon Perron hosted a mock wedding workshop intended to offer wedding photographers (both seasoned and aspiring) a no-stress environment to practice their craft, as well as to give some amazing vendors the opportunity to flex their creative muscles to style the event. And style they did! In short, the details were simply incredible, and it was a privilege to be invited along to participate in the event.
Here are the wonderful vendors who made the day possible:
Champagne Wedding and Event Coordination
Blüm, Design in Flowers
Hotel Monaco
Ania Collection
White Rose Bakery
West Coast Event Productions
Men’s Wearhouse
The wonderful ladies at Style Unveiled, Heather and Kimberly, have featured Yuko and Greg’s downtown Los Angeles engagement session on their LA site as part of their “Bride in the City” series. Very cool! It’s a wonderful privilege to see my work out there, and Style Unveiled is a top notch wedding planning resource for brides and grooms. Such an honor! You can view the entire feature here.
Portland area brides: be sure to check out their Portland site, Portland Style Unveiled.
Thank you, Heather and Kimberly!
